Long Beach Transit route 121 stops directly in front of the museum. If you are visiting other city sights, route 121 can connect you with the wider downtown area.

Metered beach parking is also available; reach it by turning off Ocean Boulevard at Junipero. Transit schedules and parking arrangements can change, so check the official site before you go.
What can you see at the Long Beach Museum of Art?

The museum’s main campus combines the historic Anderson House, a two-story gallery pavilion and oceanfront grounds. A museum store and Claire’s at the Museum restaurant are also on campus.
The collection contains more than 4,300 art objects, spanning three centuries of American, European and international art. The museum was founded in 1950 as a municipal art center for the City of Long Beach.
The Anderson House adds a layer of local history to the visit. Elizabeth Milbank Anderson built it as a summer house in 1911; during World War II, it served, among other roles, as the Navy’s Chief Petty Officer Club.
For another perspective on art in the city, the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach is a separate museum.
